The project is combined with a wood platform that connects into a hydrophilic space merging the entire facility

The second prize of the competition was granted by building on the second floor of the current volume the ground floor, the basement, and next to the building body a floating volume in the water, forming a restaurant, a tearoom and an exhibition space.

Cuihu Wetland Museum has won the second prize in the design competition basing its architectural design concepts from the undulating surface of the building as a natural hair wetland terrain extending to the water.
